Red Bud Regional Home Care Services is a positive alternative to lengthy hospital stays or long-term care placement. Our purpose is to provide healthcare in the comfort of your own home while teaching you and your family members proper steps to achieve these goals of recovery.

What is Home Care?
Home Care is intermittent skilled care provided in the home at scheduled intervals.

What is skilled care?
Skilled Care Services provided in the home may include:

• Skilled Nursing - Registered nurses assess a patient's needs and provide intermittent nursing visits for the treatment of illness or injury, often training family/caregivers to assist in treatment.
• Assessments and observations such as monitoring vital signs, blood drawing, nutritional guidance, foley catheter maintenance, intravenous therapy, TPN, tube feeding, dressing changes, disease management
• Home Infusion Therapy - For diversified treatments of illness or injury.
• Physical Therapy - To maximize a patient's level of functioning.
• Occupational Therapy - To improve a patient's independence with daily living activities.
• Speech Therapy - Help patients overcome or adapt to changes in speech, language or swallowing disorders.
• Home Health Aide - Professionally supervised aides provide assistance with personal care needs.
• Home Health Aides are certified by the State of Illinois to provide assistance with personal care and assist with hygiene and activities of daily living.

How can I receive Home Care?
Your primary care physician will refer you to Home Care Services. If Home Care is required, please call the Home Care department located inside Red Bud Hospital. The department will then contact your physician for approval to start services and, if necessary, obtain authorization from your insurance company.

Red Bud Regional Hospital Home Care Services is licensed by the Illinois Department of Public Health, is both Medicare and Medicaid certified and is accredited by the Joint Commission Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
