You do not plan to visit the emergency department. It just happens, and usually when you least expect it. At Red Bud Regional Hospital, we practice a philosophy of emergency care called ER+, which helps further our goal that you will receive quality medical care as quickly and professionally as possible.
Level IV Emergency Department features:
- Service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Qualified physicians and registered nurses
- Emergency transfer: EMS support and helipad
- ER+ Goal: fast, compassionate care
In life-threatening situations, the emergency services available at Red Bud Regional are irreplaceable. Our Emergency Department can handle a wide range of life-threatening medical emergencies or quickly stabilize and transfer a patient to a specialist or larger trauma center.
There are things you can do to prepare for your visit to the Emergency Department. Keeping a list of your current medications, allergies and any health problems could be a life-saver.
Upon arrival to the Emergency Department, patients are triaged. The term triage implies sorting out patients based on acuity, or degree of illness. While we make every attempt to see patients in the order in which they arrive, the care being given to critically ill or injured patients may cause delays for others.
The ER+ Goal
The ER+ goal is for you to have access 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week, to qualified physicians who take the time to listen to what you have to say. You will be greeted warmly by nurses who are truly compassionate and a registration staff that understands that people come before paperwork.
Our team of trained physicians, nurses and technicians are able to provide fast, quality care. They will listen to you, examine you carefully and prescribe a treatment plan that you will understand and believe in.
